TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 15, 2011) - Macquarie Power and Infrastructure Corporation (TSX:MPT)(TSX:MPT.DB.A) ("MPIC" or the "Corporation") today declared a dividend for the month of February 2011 of $0.055 per common share. The dividend will be paid on March 15, 2011 to common shareholders of record at the close of trading on February 28, 2011. The ex-dividend date is February 24, 2011.
A distribution of $0.055 per unit will also be paid on March 15, 2011 to holders of record on February 28, 2011 of Class B Exchangeable Units of MPT LTC Holding LP, a subsidiary entity of the Corporation.
The Corporation's dividends are designated "eligible" dividends for purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada). An enhanced dividend tax credit applies to eligible dividends paid to Canadian residents.
